Is MTP Exchange only for African tourism businesses?
No. It is positioned as an Africa–Asia–World tourism ecosystem for businesses, destinations, institutions, associations and strategic partners.
Do I need to be a CAMTP member?
No. Non-members may participate at a 10% booking commission. CAMTP members receive the preferred 7% rate.
Does MTP Exchange guarantee bookings?
No. The platform can support visibility, connections and commercial opportunities, but bookings and revenue cannot be guaranteed.
How long does the application take?
Approximately six to eight minutes. Progress can be saved and completed later.
Must I upload every tourism product manually?
The onboarding team can assist with the initial preparation and upload of existing product information.
What information should I prepare?
Basic organisation details, contact information, website details, tourism products or services, current markets and the support your organisation requires.
Who controls my prices and product information?
Your organisation remains responsible for confirming and maintaining its own descriptions, rates, availability, booking conditions and customer service.
What types of tourism products and services are most suitable for MTP Exchange?
MTP Exchange supports a wide range of tourism products, including accommodation, tours, activities, excursions, safaris, transfers, transportation, multi-day programmes, travel packages, and virtually any other tourism-related product, service, ticket, admission or participation fee that can be sold and booked directly.
Our focus is on real, bookable products with defined prices, availability and booking conditions. We do not prioritise one product category over another; commercial performance depends on the attractiveness of the offer, pricing and distribution.
Will listed products be available to other B2B partners?
Yes. Your products can be made available to authorised travel agencies, tour operators, DMCs and other distribution partners within the network.
You retain control over your products, pricing and business relationships, including which partners are authorised to distribute your offers.
For each individual product or service, you can define one of three visibility levels:
- No Share: The product remains exclusive to your own business and is not shared with the network.
- Share in Partner Network: The product is visible within your own partner network.
- Global Share: The product is visible throughout the wider MTP Exchange network.
Importantly, visibility does not automatically grant permission to sell. Even when a product is marked as Global Share, other participants may only view and share its information. Actual selling and booking rights require your explicit authorisation.
How are enquiries and bookings generated and distributed?
MTP Exchange is not a traditional lead-generation platform.
Our infrastructure allows participating companies to establish direct B2B relationships, access authorised supplier inventories, search availability and complete bookings through the Search → Book → Pay process.
Bookings are generated through participating distributors, their websites, booking systems and their existing customer networks.
There are several ways to distribute and sell your products:
- B2C – Your White Label Website: Sell directly to end customers through the website provided by MTP Exchange.
- B2C – Your Own Website via API: Integrate our B2B API into your existing website and sell directly to your customers.
- B2B – Direct Sales to Travel Partners: Travel agencies and other authorised partners using MTP Exchange BackOffice can search, find and book your products directly.
- B2B2C – Partner White Label Websites: Your authorised business partners can sell your products to their end customers through their own White Label websites provided by MTP Exchange.
- B2B API – Partner-Owned Websites: Your authorised partners can use their own API access to retrieve your products and services and integrate them into their existing websites. Your products are accessible through their API only if you have explicitly authorised them.
This gives you the flexibility to sell directly, distribute through your own partners, or expand internationally through other authorised participants in the network.
Can participating companies access and distribute inventory from other suppliers?
Absolutely. This is one of the core functions of MTP Exchange.
You can act both as a supplier and as a distributor, accessing products from other network participants and offering them to your own B2B partners or end customers.
You can also develop your own distribution network, including subagents, using the technology provided by MTP Exchange.
Does the platform support API, XML or other integration options?
Yes. MTP Exchange provides bidirectional API connectivity for exchanging product information, pricing, availability and booking data.
This allows companies to integrate MTP Exchange with their existing systems and websites without necessarily replacing their current technology.
Alternatively, you can use our ready-to-operate BackOffice, White Label Website Builder and Mobile App Builder.
What are the commissions, payment terms and settlement procedures?
Our standard commission models are 7% and 10%, depending on the selected cooperation arrangement. The supplier chooses the applicable model.
These commission rates apply when you distribute your own products and services through MTP Exchange.
MTP Exchange allows you to operate simultaneously as a service provider, making your own products available for distribution, and as a reseller, distributing products and services from other suppliers within the network.
When acting as a reseller of other suppliers’ products, the applicable MTP Exchange commission is significantly lower than 7–10% and is agreed separately according to the cooperation arrangement.
Commissions apply only to successfully realised bookings.
Customer payments go directly to the product owner through their own payment service provider account. MTP Exchange does not collect or hold customer payments.
Commission settlements are handled monthly according to the agreed contractual conditions.
Please note that the commission rates, payment terms and settlement procedures described above refer exclusively to your commercial relationship with MTP Exchange.
All commercial arrangements between you and your business partners within the network, including commissions, payment terms and settlements, are negotiated and agreed directly between the respective parties. MTP Exchange is not involved in these commercial agreements.
Are there additional membership, subscription or platform fees?
No. Membership is free, with no monthly or annual subscription fees and no long-term commitment.
The standard technology infrastructure is provided as part of the cooperation model, including BackOffice, booking functionality and White Label solutions.
Does MTP Exchange offer referral, reseller, distribution or market-development partnerships?
Yes. In addition to standard supplier and distributor participation, we support regional and strategic partnership arrangements.
Partners can introduce new tourism businesses, develop supplier and distribution networks, assist with onboarding and support local market development.
For such cooperation, we can establish a separate revenue-sharing model based on the business generated through the partner’s network.
Could your company participate as a market or distribution partner?
Definitely. There are several potential directions for cooperation: distributing existing MTP Exchange inventory through your channels, introducing suppliers and buyers, building a dedicated B2B network, or developing a broader strategic partnership for selected markets.
These opportunities are not mutually exclusive.
